In 1925 Coca Cola made a lucky watch fob in the shape of a swastika with the slogan, “Drink Coca Cola five cents in bottles.” At that time, the Swastika was still a symbol of ‘Good Luck’. The watch fob is approximately 4cm x 4cm in size and is made of brass.

It has been a holy religious symbol for Hindus, Buddhists, and other cultures long before Hitler got a hold of it. It has probably been a symbol of good fortune, luck and prosperity for thousands of years in the world’s oldest religion “Hinduism” and it still means the same thing. No matter what Hitler may have done he can’t change the reality of this holy symbol and the beautiful meaning it has to billions around the world as a religious symbol of good fortune. Hindus know it for what it is and those who are educated do not look upon it as something evil.

The swastika is an ancient religious symbol for Hindus and Buddhists that means “good fortune and prosperity”. That is the real meaning of it as it has been for thousands of years before Adolf Hitler borrowed it and used it for his campaign of hate and ignorance. In spite of Hitlers’s use of the swastika and the bad meaning it has in many peoples minds, it is still a holy symbol for billions in the world and it still means “good fortune and prosperity”. It is also interesting that the “star of David” is also a holy symbol in the Hindu religion and just like the swastika it too was “borrowed” and used for other things. That is fine in that context, but Hitler was an evil person who has polluted the reputation of the swastika, but has not changed its meaning and educated people who know what it really means know its connection for thousands of years to both Hindus and Buddhists. In Hindu religious art you can find both the swastika and the star of David side by side as they have been for thousands of years before both Hitler, or Judaism was ever born. To disrespect the swastika and what is really stands for is an insult to religious people worldwide who had nothing to do with Hitler and are angry that his connection to it has caused so much hate and misunderstanding.

Hitler did not use the original swastika.
He faced in reverse and turned it one quarter of a turn, thereby creating a different symbol in all reality.
We Americans like to make big deals out of things and put labels on them for no reason whatsoever.
I guess it’s who we have become.
We’ve lost our original self worth. No more great generation, no subsequent generation to take over and keep us great. Greed by corporate America is at an all time high. We are running out of a buying populous and one day will not be able to afford to buy anything other than bare necessities for many citizens.
We used to help each other, watch out for each other and now it’s suspicions and hatred between anyone that is different. This from an old southern boy now a senior citizen.
We no longer have wars, not since WW11, we have invasions and occupations and regime changes.
When we had balls, we simply declared war legally and went and killed our enemy and then came back home to get back to work at being Americans.
Now it’s all based on greed.
The original sacred symbol, the swastika, is still a revered symbol of many cultures worldwide.
Just because some inbred SOB did something very wrong/bad/ill/mean/etc; does not mean that others might not continue to use their original symbol which does not represent the same ideals as Hitlers.
It was and is a symbol of good, caring, kindness and such.
